It works by hiding your personal email address behind altmails email address.

altmails helps you to protect your privacy by providing you with custom email addresses that can be used to forward all incoming emails to your personal account. The emails forwarded by our service are not stored. Anytime you're receiving unwanted emails, simply unsubscribe from the @altmails and you can create another @altmails again anytime.

Absolutely. You can create any number of @altmails email aliases using the form which is on top of this page. But you can use only one active altmails email alias at a time.

Every time you receive a forwarding email from us, we generate a unique reply email address for you. That email address is set to the default reply option and also display on the email body. You can reply only once to a specific email.

P.S. Don't use your altmails email address as the reply email address. Reply email address only generate once you receive an email and it varies on each email.

Yes. While altmails is not meant to be an anti-spam service we do our best to filter out obvious spam and virus messages. Spam and virus messages will be rejected.

No. There is no way to recover because we don't store any of emails which process through our service.

altmails does not have any access to your inbox or email account and does not store the emails forwarded to you. The messages or emails that altmails has access to are the ones sent to us. We do not disclose or sell any of your data.

Check your spam folder. Sometimes altmails emails get in there, especially if you are receiving a lot of them. Mark them as "not spam" if your email provider supports this feature.
